Community Salute to Heroes

This Saturday the San Diego Army Advisory Council will host a Community Salute to Heroes from 8am to Noon.  This untimed 5k Crossfit Race is free of charge for Grossmont students and their families. Just register online at www.armyevents.com, & "click here to register" under "individual military" free of charge. The Community Salute to Heroes will take place on the football field, is open to the public and completely free of charge. It will include live music, gourmet food trucks, a free kids zone with jumpies and inflatable obstacle courses, silent auctions and plenty of seating. Perhaps the best part of the day will be the US Army's "Lifetime achievement" award to El Cajon Mayor Lewis and a future soldier swearing-in for more than 100 young Americans at 11am. Lastly, 500 people will have a chance to win a new car. Simply roll the dice to win a $20,000 new car.  Thanks for your help!

• Completed paint at exterior of Center Building at elevators.
• Completed rooftop ductwork at Center Building.
• Continued exterior paint at South Building.
• Continued mesh and base application at East Building.
• Continued rough plumbing at East Building.
• Continue suspended ceiling installation at North Building 1st Floor.
• Started suspended ceiling grid at Center and South Building 1st Floor.
• Continued hanging exterior doors at Center and South Building.
• Continued installing door hardware at North and Central Building.
• Continued painting galvanized guardrails.
• Started installing guardrail frames at North Building.
