New News:
It's official! Grossmont High School is a 2013 California Exemplary Arts School. Only seven high schools in the state were awarded this honor and Grossmont High School was the only one awarded in our County. This award recognizes schools that, in addition to high academic achievement indicated by their Distinguished School qualifications, have committed time and resources to broad-based arts education programs that strengthen students’ creativity and encourages their personal interests. Way to go VAPA team and Grossmont High School!

Do not let too much time pass before you speak with a choir student and obtain a Dessert Show ticket. Come hear the MUSIC OF MOTOWN featuring Clay Wilson on Percussion, Bryce Montgomery on Electric Guitar and of course, the best best singers around! Dan Jacobs will be a featured soloist as the men of Grossmont sing "I'll Be There" - complete with choreography!!! Get your ticket today!!
Hey Grossmont! Remember there is a blood drive on campus May 23rd, periods 1 through 6. If you're under seventeen, please pick up a permission slip in a senior or junior English class. “WE WANT TO SUCK YOUR BLOOD!” (In a Romanian accent, try to sound like a vampire!)
Attention Swim, Dive and Water Polo Athletes: Effective immediately, please do not place or leave unattended bags or other items on the pool deck at any time. Any unattended items will be confiscated and the student will be subject to disciplinary action. Thank you for your cooperation.
Attention Sophomores! Are you planning to apply to a UC school or competitive private and/or out of state school? You might want to consider taking an SAT subject test. Registration is at www.collegeboard.com and must be completed by Tuesday, May 7th to avoid a late fee. Pass the Cap: The Grossmont Educational Foundation is having its second annual "Pass the Cap" event during teacher appreciation week May 6-10th. Tell your parents or you can bring the money from home and drop a monetary donation large or small in the coonskin buckets that volunteers will be holding at all school drop off times next week. All proceeds go to the teachers for classroom materials and projects. Say thank you to our fantastic teachers by donating next week! Thanks in advance for your support.
