New News:

  1. Camp LEAD:  Today you will be notified during your 4th period class if you have been selected to attend CampThe Camp LEAD Club will be holding information meetings in room P-28 on Thursday and Friday of this week during lunch. Please come by if you have any questions.

Lost & Found:  If you have lost a backpack, clothing or any item on campus please go to Nurses office to see if your lost item has been found. Any items not picked up by the end of the school year will be donated.

Student Parking:  Attention all students who park in the front “Junior” lot.  Please be extra careful to avoid parking in any space marked as “Visitor” or “District Reserved”.  Enforcement of these areas will be increasing which could result in a police citation or discipline.  Keep in mind that the student spaces in the Junior lot are limited, and if no student spaces are available, you will need to park on the street.  Also remember that a parking permit is required for all vehicles parked on campus.

Obra:  This week only students and staff can pre-order this year's Obra magazine for $15. Obra will distribute magazines on Friday May 24th in the English classes and price goes up to $20 after Thursday. Don't miss out on seeing great creative writing and art pieces done by Grossmont students.

Last Dance Concert:  Thursday May 23 at 6:30pm, $4.00. All dances are choreographed by the senior class of 2013.

Attention All Foothillers:  Multi-cultural pep assembly is this Friday, May 24th in the Old Gym after 2nd period. Come see amazing cultural dances as well as a performance from our talent show winner Alex Lievanos.

Hey Grossmont!  Key Club is having a blood drive on campus May 23rd, periods 1 through 6.  If you're under seventeen, please pick up a permission slip in a senior or junior English class, Room 755 or the front office.  “WE WANT TO SUCK YOUR BLOOD, SERIOUSLY”

La Mesa Youth Advisory:  Students who are interested in being on the La Mesa Youth Advisory, please go to the Career Center to get an application. Applications are due no later than Sept 6th.

Seniors:   Are you thinking about Majoring in Criminal Justice in College? The El Cajon Police Department has a scholarship opportunity for you. Stop by the Career Center or GRC for details.

Instrumental Music Recruits:  Do you have musical talent and want to join a performance ensemble?  Do you have any type of musical background and want to learn to play an instrument?  Grossmont High School's award winning Instrumental Music program is looking for current GHS students who want to participate in a performing ensemble next year.  You can join the Marching Band, Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, or Color Guard.  Come be a part of our tight-knit organization!  If interested, stop by the band room and talk to Mr. Llamas.  Musical experience is a plus, but not required!  "Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."
